Loss Connections Volunteers

These volunteers help respond to e-mail from visitors to the site, and are all members of the ectopic pregnancy support group.  They are kind, compassionate, knowledgeable women who have been there and are eager to help!


Jo-Ann, age 38
2 ectopic losses:  April 1985 and August 1999 (laporoscopy and R salpingectomy)
2 miscarriages:  July 1992 and February 2000
4 living children:  Megan (11), Sasha (8), Casey (4), Tessa (1)


Lindsay, age 26
1 ectopic loss:  September 7, 2000 (laporotomy and R salpingectomy)
no living children (yet!)
undergoing IVF (April 2002)

SHG performed post ectopic 
concentrating on being healthier before TTC
*currently on a weight loss plan at the advice of RE
will be taking b/c pills for 3-4 months to regulate cycle
hoping to TTC in the spring or summer
will TTC for 6 months and then consider medication, IUI, or IVF

1 miscarriage:  June 1992 (no medical intervention necessary)
1 ectopic loss @ 10 weeks:  October 2000 (laporoscopy, laporotomy, R salpingectomy)
1 partial molar pregnancy @ 8 weeks:  March 2001 (methotrexate)
2 living children:  Arianna (9) and Alyssa (6) (both born premature)
currently expecting, due October 2002


Alyssa, age 26
1 ectopic loss:  final loss date January 11, 2002 (two methotrexate treatments, then emergency laparoscopy, R salpingectomy)
first pregnancy
*currently waiting impatiently until April to TTC again (on advice from physician due to complications after surgery)
