i visited your website and your story was both heartbreaking and heart warming. i to suffered an ectopic in march of 99. i consider myself lucky, at the time i already had a little boy of 4. since my experience with an ectopic pregnancy i have given birth to another little boy in feb. of 2000. the reason i am writing to you is because you seem to have alot of knowledge on the subject and i am hoping you can answer a question for me. my husband and i want to have another baby. one of the websites made a statement that worries me. it said that if you have a "live" birth after ectopic, it raises your chances of ectopic even higher. i was under the impression the more "live" births you have the less chance of subsequent ectopics. i was hoping you could help me in my search for correct data. i to was at 14 weeks when my surgery took place. i now know that that was way to long, and, after sensing something amis, i lied about a pain. only then was i taken seriously. believ!
e it or not, i am still am with the same doctor. i like her very much and decided to give it another chance. they came through with flying colors in my next pregnancy and i can only praise them now (my ectopic was a circus) do you have the info i so curiously want?? thank you and good luck with your new baby. he is an angel

Your story is incredible. I am so happy for you. You have a beautiful son. I am on my SECOND ectopic. I lost my left tube 10 years ago with my first ectopic. I am currently being treated with methotrexate. The first dose did not work. I am on my second dose and my HCG level is dropping. If all goes well, my next step will be to have a HSG performed. I was taking prenatal vitamins during my first dose as my OB did not advise me otherwise. I discovered this was a "no no" after pulling up information on the computer. I am blessed to have a son who just turned one. He is my miracle baby. I pray to have another child. Thank you for sharing your story. Tamara, California 3/8/01

Dear Krista and Todd,
Your story was amazing. Truly a miracle and I'm sure many answered prayers to God. I feel the same as you guys. It seems so unfair for all these "sorry parents to be bringing babies into this world when the don't even won't them, and you have people such as you guys that fought with everything inside you and won against every odd." I cried throughout your whole story, and when I saw the ultrasounds of baby Cooper, I cried even harder. I will continue to pray for blessings for you guys and baby Cooper. Enjoy him, and know that he truly is a "gift from God."
Take care guys!!!!

Hi Krista, I'm so glad to read that everything is wonderful with Cooper. I'm not sure if you remember me, but I was a past member of the ectopic group (I'm afraid that I left quite suddenly). I was hoping to find out how everyone at the ectopic group was doing (without joining again that is, recent problems have made reading too in-depth about ttc and achieving pregnancy far too painful. Please pass along a hello to everyone at the group for me, looking forward to hearing from you, Elena.

Krista,
Belated, but never too late, congratulations on the arrival of Cooper!!! No doubt a busy time for you, but a happy time too.
Due to computer problems since Jan. 2000 I have to rely on the occasional use of friend's
computer.
I just wanted to let you know I still think of you and still log on when I can.
Take care and God's blessings to all of you.
love, Claudia

dear Krista, Todd and Cooper,
well done and many many congratulations to you all. I am so thrilled for you. Your site has been the most informative and most comforting to follow since my ectopic in February. Even though you are all oceans part, it is so comforting to share all your experiences with the rest of us out here and I can't wait until the day that we too are blessed with our own little bundle! Soon I hope!
with much love from across the miles in wet and windy U.K.

Congratulations! It was comforting to read your day to day stories of everything you went through. I myself has had 3 ectopic pregnancies. The first one ruptured and I was at the point of dying. I had my right tube removed and now I just have the left side. I recently had a HSG done but from the looks of things it was blocked either from adhesions or a hydrosalphinx. My husband and I are turning to the option of IVF. It feels so comforting to know that it works for some people. Hopefully it works out for me. Your son looks very adorable.......take care and good luck on trying to conceive naturally.

THANK YOU for your very informative (and emotional) site. I sit here at home recovering from EP surgery & knew very little about it until this week. Your site has encouraged me to educate myself and have a voice in what happens to me medically. THANK YOU, and CONGRATULATIONS!

I remember when your Mommy told me that you were on your way; I felt so happy and sad at the same time, Happy tears is what I had. You are such a wished for Baby. I know that your brother Philip will be watching over you as you come into this world. I haven't been in much contact with your mom lately, but she is always there in thought and prayer. Little baby Cooper, I have been chatting to your mommy on the internet for a while now, from before you came to grow in her tummy. You have made her so happy. To have you growing well inside her, has given so many of us old ladies so much hope for our own lives, and I just want to thank you for that. Not even born yet,and you have already made your mark. You are probably so cumfy in there that you won't want to come out when it is time, but let me just tell you that you have the greatest mommy in the world, and she is going to hold you,and love you ( as she does already)and make you the luckiest baby in the world. You must be proud of her,and thank God each day for choosing her as your mommy. Oh,and just one more thing, don't give her too hard a time with sleepless nights, o.k.? take care little Cooper, grow well. sonja kershaw 29.01.2000
